A Man Allegedly Broke into Taylor Swift’s Home and Used Her Shower
Taylor Swift has been busy with rehearsals for her Reputation tour, which is super-exciting, but she’s recently dealt with some pretty scary stuff too. On Friday, April 20, a man allegedly broke into Tay’s New York City home, took a shower, and then fell asleep in her bed.
According to TMZ, Taylor wasn’t home for the alleged incident, but a neighbor alerted the police when they reportedly noticed a man climbing the fire escape and entering the brownstone apartment by breaking a window — with his hand. Once inside, he allegedly took a shower and decided to nap in one of the beds. The man, who was identified as Roger Alvarado, was reportedly arrested and charged with “stalking, burglary and criminal mischief.” TMZ also reports that this is a new property of Taylor’s and she’s never actually lived there, so it remains to be seen if the man in question knew it was her place or not.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Taylor has experienced someone breaking into her home or attempting to stalk her. Earlier this month, a longtime stalker of the singer-songwriter was sentenced to 10 years probation, and another was arrested after allegedly trying to climb the walls of her house in Beverly Hills. In 2017, yet another man was arrested for allegedly hanging out in her NYC buildingand ringing her doorbell incessantly.
Thankfully, Taylor has a tight security team, along with neighbors to keep an eye on things and let the police know if something is going on. She has yet to release a statement about the recent break-in, but we’re very happy she’s safe.
